A couple of Trenton boys are having their way at their different universities.
Jamir Watkins is completely dominating after transferring to Florida State University. Last week he averaged 23.5 points, 4 steals per game, and 5 rebounds per game. As the ladies say- It’s giving lottery pick. He is the next one for sure. Trenton, pay attention.
Deuce Jones had a couple of amazing games last week for La Salle University, recording 15 points, 4 assists, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals against Cornell in a win. Deuce has always been an electrifying player, seeing him come out as a freshman and perform is no suprise.
Gary Jones a Trenton native, his uncle, also went to La Salle and had a great career there playing basketball.
Thomas Sorber got Freshman of the Week after averaging 22.5 points and 11 rebounds per game with 55 percent shooting during his first week playing college basketball. This kid has crazy talent. The fact that local media has no idea who he is is kind of ridiculous. Pay attention NOW. All i'm going to say is that he doesn't look like he's doing four years in college... HINT HINT
Antwan Bridgett just recorded 10 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals in a win against John Wood Community College. He also had 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals vs Iowa Lakes. Bridgett has always been able to affect the game in 4-5 different ways. Antwan Bridgett is an alum of the legendary Trenton High team from 2022-2023.
